Blasting, energetic rocking hardcore from Tokyo, Japan. This is PAINTBOX's debut album and a stunning blend of traditional “burning spirits” Japanese hardcore mixed with melody and driving hard rock influences, fueled by raging guitar leads and a rampaging rhythm section with husky tough sung vocals. This was originally released as a CD only album on the HG FACT label in Japan with a later vinyl version on the Canadian UGLY POP label. This PRANK Records version features altered artwork, a translated lyric sheet, a different A/B side breakdown and improved mastering from the out of print original vinyl pressing. Guitarist Chelsea was instrumental to the creation of “Burning Spirits” sound as a member of 1980’s legends DEATHSIDE, but forged new ground with Paintbox with it’s infectious, upbeat energy.
